Services & Pricing
OJS, OMP, and OPS Services & Pricing
Independent OJS, OMP, and OPS Technical Support Center provides specialized technical support services for scholarly journals, universities, research centers, academic publishers, journal portals, and editorial teams using or planning to use OJS, OMP, and OPS platforms.
You may request a one-time technical service, emergency support, platform assessment, installation, new journal setup, upgrade, migration, plugin setup, email configuration, interface improvement, metadata readiness, DOI/Crossref support, training, managed hosting, or ongoing annual support. Services are available in multiple languages, with Arabic and English as core support languages.
Important note: The prices below are starting estimates. Final pricing depends on the platform version, hosting environment, number of journals, database size, file volume, plugins, theme customization, urgency, access availability, backup quality, and agreed scope of work.
Payment policy: Approved one-time services are paid in full before work begins. Annual hosting and support plans are paid before activation or renewal. Third-party fees such as domains, hosting provider fees, Crossref/DOI fees, paid plugins, payment gateway fees, or external tools are not included unless clearly stated in the quote.
How to use this page: This page lists service-by-service technical support and pricing estimates. Each table explains what the service includes and what it does not usually include. For new ready-to-launch publishing platforms, launch packages can be quoted separately from annual hosting and support.

3. OJS Upgrade and Migration
OJS upgrades and migrations are high-risk services because they may involve a live database, submission files, published articles, themes, plugins, PHP compatibility, server limits, and backups. For this reason, major upgrades are usually quoted after a paid readiness check.
| Service | What It Includes | Usually Does Not Include | Starting From |
|---|---|---|---|

| Major / Legacy OJS Upgrade | Upgrade from old or complex OJS versions, including compatibility review, staged upgrade planning, plugin/theme risk handling, and post-upgrade testing. | Guaranteed recovery without valid backups, rebuilding custom code, repairing severely damaged databases, or third-party hosting repair. | $1,200 |

| Failed Upgrade or Migration Recovery | Diagnosis of incomplete upgrade or migration, log review, and stability recovery where possible. | Guaranteed restoration, recovery without usable backups, third-party server repair, or unlimited recovery attempts. | From $300 or $100/hour |
